McKenzie (Tennessee) junior running back Marquez Taylor has 11 scholarship offers, according to Jarod Hamilton of the Jackson Sun. On Saturday, Taylor revealed that 5 teams are already separating themselves.
Taylor included Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee in his top 5 alongside Memphis and Kansas.

Hamilton notes that Taylor was a Class 1A Mr. Football finalist and an All-West Tennessee football offensive first-team selection after rushing for 1,676 yards and 33 touchdowns on 193 carries in his junior season. Taylor is also a pass-catching threat as he had 24 catches for 411 yards and 6 TDs this past season.
Taylor is listed at 5-10, 175 pounds on Rivals, which rates him a 3-star prospect. He does not have a rating on 247Sports. Rivals rates Taylor the No. 13 all-purpose back and No. 19 player in the state for the class of 2023. The Jackson Sun article notes that Tennessee was the first program to offer Taylor.
