23 SEC players named to 2018 AP All-America Team, 11 on First Team

The Associated Press has revealed its All-America team for the 2018 season. The SEC is well-represented with 23 players spread out over the three teams. Eleven of those players were named to the first team. The AP team is one of the teams recognized for “consensus” and “unanimous” All-American designation.

Here are the SEC selections:

First Team

Offense:

  • Alabama OT Jonah Williams
  • Texas A&M TE Jace Sternberger
  • Kentucky OG Bunchy Stallings
  • Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy

Defense:

  • Alabama DT Quinnen Williams
  • Kentucky LB Josh Allen
  • LSU LB Devin White
  • Georgia CB DeAndre Baker
  • LSU S Grant Delpit
  • Alabama S Deionte Thompson
  • Texas A&M P Braden Mann

Second Team

Offense:

  • Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa
  • Texas A&M RB Trayveon Williams
  • Georgia OT Andrew Thomas
  • Alabama OC Ross Piersbacher
  • LSU K Cole Tracy

Defense:

  • Mississippi State DE Montez Sweat
  • Florida DE Jachai Polite
  • LSU CB Greedy Williams

Third Team

Offense:

  • Kentucky RB Benny Snell Jr.
  • Ole Miss WR A.J. Brown

Defense

  • Mississippi State DT Jeffery Simmons
  • Mississippi State S Johnathan Abram
