The 2018-19 basketball season just ended, with Auburn making a Final Four run to make it the farthest of all SEC teams.

Now, it’s time to start looking ahead to the 2019-20 season, when the SEC should once again be a conference to be reckoned with.

Recently, ESPN ranked the way-too-early top-25 teams for next season, and three SEC squads made the cut. As you can see below, Kentucky leads the way at No. 3:

  • No. 3 — Kentucky
  • No. 23 — Florida
  • No. 25 — Tennessee

Michigan State clocks in at No. 1, followed by Duke. Auburn was No. 22 in ESPN’s post-2019 NCAA Tournament rankings, but has dropped out as of now.
