3-star Florida commit Taylor Upshaw announces he’s flipped to Michigan

With the ongoing head coaching search at Florida, it’s only natural for the Gators to experience decommitments.

Friday night, 3-star DE Taylor Upshaw (Bradenton, Florida) announced that he has flipped his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines. Upshaw had been committed to Florida since June 10, but since then, the Gators and Jim McElwain parted ways and Michigan got heavily involved.

Upshaw is rated as the No. 24 SDE and the Sunshine State’s No. 101 overall prospect in the class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

With Upshaw’s decommitment, the Gators still have 17 commitments for the class of 2018, which is pretty good based on having no head coach currently.
