The Ole Miss Rebels easily took care of the Vanderbilt Commodores in Oxford.
The Rebs won 33-7, and improved to 4-1 in the SEC and 7-1 overall. Jaxson Dart threw for 240 yards and 1 TD. Quinshon Judkins also had a nice game, and ended with 124 yards on 17 carries and 2 TDs.
The Rebel defense was smothering, and allowed the Commodores to collect just 229 total yards.

The Rebel defense was smothering
Coming into this game, the Rebels sported the No. 71 total defense in the nation. The team was allowing 372.1 yards per game and 5.17 yards per play.
Against Vandy? The Rebs allowed just 229 total yards and 7 points. The team also got 5 sacks and forced 2 turnovers.
The Rebs will be hard to beat if the defense picks up the offense like this regularly.
Quinshon Judkins has another big game
Judkins eclipsed 100 yards last week against Auburn and exceeded the mark again this week against Vanderbilt. Judkins ended the game with 124 yards on the ground and 2 TDs. The back also caught 1 pass for 7 yards.
This was the 3rd game with 100+ yards for Judkins this season. In a season in which the back has been slightly disappointing, it’s encouraging that he seems to be putting it together for the stretch run.
Trey Washington collects 2 interceptions
Washington secured his first 2 interceptions of the season against Vanderbilt. The safety had 1 INT against each Vanderbilt QB.
The Rebels had 7 interceptions heading into this game, but Washington did not have any of them. The defensive back had just 1 in his college career coming into this game. It’s a good sign to see Washington make plays.
