4 SEC teams named in Jeff Goodman’s early 2019-20 top-25 college basketball rankings

The 2018-19 college basketball season just came to an end, with Auburn making a Final Four run before falling to eventual-champion Virginia.
Heading into next year, it’s still too early to tell what rosters will look like, as teams that have had players declare for the 2019 NBA Draft may get some of them back.
However, college basketball insider Jeff Goodman put out his early top 25 list for the 2019-20 season on Monday, and as you can see below, he has four SEC squads ranked:
- No. 3 — Kentucky
- No. 10 — Auburn
- No. 11 — Alabama
- No. 20 — Florida
Alabama at No. 11 is definitely interesting, but that says a lot about what Goodman thinks of new coach Nate Oats. Florida has an incredible recruiting class coming in, so that explains the Gators at No. 20.
How will the actual first poll play out in a few months? We’ll have to wait and see.
