4-star Charlotte CB Tyus Fields commits to Tennessee over Clemson, Ohio State

Jeremy Pruitt and his staff continue to clean up on the recruiting trail. Tennessee landed its third commitment in four days as Charlotte area CB Tyus Fields has committed to the Volunteers over offers from Clemson, Ohio State and others.
Fields, a product of Hough in Charlotte suburb Cornelius, N.C., measures 5-10, 182 pounds. He is ranked the No. 6 recruit in North Carolina, No. 23 at his position and No. 217 overall nationally. Tennessee is Fields’ only SEC offer at this time. He chose the Volunteers over Power 5 offers such as Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Ohio State and Penn State.
Fields visited Tennessee in April. His highlights are available in the clip below. The Vols now have 17 commitments in a 2019 class with Composite rankings of No. 12 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC.
