Highly sought-after Cocoa, Florida ATH Caziah Holmes is uncommitted, but the 4-star recruit is showing strong interest in pledging to play in the SEC.
Holmes shared a top seven Tuesday (via Twitter) which includes Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Auburn along with Florida State, Miami and Penn State.
Listed at over 5-11 and 179 pounds, Holmes boasts of more than 30 scholarship offers. This year, he has visited Florida State (twice), Florida (March), Auburn (March), Kentucky (June), Penn State (June) and Tennessee (June). In February, Holmes participated in the Orlando edition of Nike’s “The Opening” competition camp and was named running back MVP as well as “fastest man.”
Despite the majority of his top seven being SEC teams, recruiting experts on 247Sports expect Holmes to play. Six analysts/insiders have submitted Crystal Ball predictions, with five having Holmes signing with Penn State and one for Florida State. The site’s Composite rankings have Holmes as the No. 9 ATH, No. 28 Florida product and No. 190 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2020.
Holmes says he will commit on Aug. 9.
