Florida picked up a big addition for its 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday. Blue-chip defensive lineman Kendall Guervill has pledged to play for Billy Napier‘s program.

Out of Fort Myers (Florida) High School, Guervil measures 6-5, 310 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, he is currently rated 4-stars, the No. 19 defensive lineman, No. 19 player in the state of Florida and No. 146 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

A talented Sunshine State lineman with Guervil’s size is guaranteed to attract lots of interest. He picked up scholarship offers from 28 programs during his recruitment.

Guervil narrowed things to Florida, Florida State and Texas for Wednesday’s commitment ceremony. He cited the UF staff as a leading reason the Gators won out.

Ever since my freshman year, I’ve been able to build a relationship with the staffs and get to know the players there,” Guervil told Nick Wilson of the USA TODAY Florida Network. “I have a great connection and relationship with coach Billy (Napier), and (defensive line coach Gerald) Chatman came my sophomore year, and since then we’ve been building a great relationship, also with (assistant D-line coach Jeremy) Patterson.

With Guervil on board, Florida’s 2026 recruiting class is up to 15 verbal commitments with a national ranking of No. 14 on the Composite. Twelve of those commitments came in the month of June.
