4-star Florida safety Brendan Gant names 6 SEC schools in top 11

Kathleen (Lakeland, Fla.) 4-star S Brendan Gant appears to have a strong interest in staying in the Southeast. There appears to be a good chance he’ll end up in the SEC.
Gant unveiled a top 11 Wednesday that includes six SEC schools: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State and Tennessee. If the experts are to be believed, all six schools are chasing Florida State for Gant’s commitment. The Seminoles currently have 89 percent of the 19 Crystal Balls submitted on 247Sports. Alabama, where Gant was committed until April 22, has 11 percent of the Crystal Ball predictions. The site’s Composite rankings rate the 6-1, 186-pounder as No. 114 overall recruit, No. 16 Florida product and No. 8 safety.
Since decommitting from Alabama, Gant has taken one visit, a June trip to Ohio State, which is in his top 11.
