So far there haven’t been very few surprises on early signing day until now. Four-star linebacker Robert Woodyard out of Williamson High School in Mobile, flipped from Alabama to Auburn. Woodyard was a long-time commitment to the Crimson Tide since June 2020.

This was a major feat for Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin and so far, this may be Auburn’s biggest recruit in the Harsin era.

The handwriting may have been on the wall that Woodyard would flip because according to 247Sports, he had visited the campus 5 times, including most recently the Iron Bowl, which was held in Auburn this year.

Woodyard is the No. 6 recruit overall in the state of Alabama on the 247Sports Composite.
