The 2020 NBA Draft will take place in October. Currently, players in the draft class are waiting to see if they’ll be able to work out for teams or not ahead of draft night.
When the draft does take place, workouts or not, a number of SEC stars are expected to hear their names called early.
In CBS Sports analyst Kyle Boone’s latest Round 1 mock draft, he has 5 SEC players going in Round 1. And, all of them are expected to be chosen in the first 15 picks:
- No. 2 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Cleveland Cavaliers
- No. 7 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Chicago Bulls
- No. 10 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — Phoenix Suns
- No. 13 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Sacramento Kings
- No. 15 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Orlando Magic
Can any other SEC guys make a run at Round 1? We’ll find out over the next couple of months.
