5 SEC players named among 247Sports’ list of 10 fastest players in college football

The world of college football is getting faster every year, as some of the fastest players are literally world-class sprinters.

That will be the case again this fall, and on Wednesday, 247Sports put together a list of the 10 fastest players in college football for 2019.

As you can see below, half of the list (including the 4 fastest players) came from the SEC:

• No. 1 — Anthony Schwartz, WR, Auburn
• No. 2 — Kary Vincent, CB, LSU
• No. 3 — Javaris Davis, CB, Auburn
• No. 4 — Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama
• No. 7 — Derek Stingley, CB, LSU

Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle went toe-to-toe on a 40-yard dash with Ruggs earlier this spring, so he seems like an omission, but this will give him motivation to show his superhuman speed.

Any one of these guys could break the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Combine when their time comes.
