SEC play is in full effect, and the conference is off to an exciting start.
With Week 4 complete, ESPN has updated it SP+ ratings, and the conference is well represented with five teams in the top 10.
- No. 4 Alabama
- No. 5 Tennessee
- No. 7 Ole Miss
- No. 9 Georgia
- No. 10 Oklahoma
Alabama and Tennessee both already have a loss on the season, with the Volunteers being rated ahead of the same Georgia team that beat them last week. The Crimson Tide get the Bulldogs in Week 5 in Athens, and that is a game where Alabama can show how much it has improved since that season-opening loss to Florida State.
The Rebels dropped two spots despite demolishing a good Tulane team, 45-10. Ole Miss has a huge opportunity to showcase how good it is, as Lane Kiffin‘s team hosts the LSU Tigers in Week 5.
While they aren’t in the top 10, no teamed move up higher on this list than Vanderbilt. The Commodores moved up 12 spots in SP+ to No. 16 following their blowout win over Georgia State.
