It’s another week of 5 SEC teams in the Super 16, the poll put out by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and the National Football Foundation (NFF).
Georgia remained No. 1 in the poll, picking up all 52 first-place votes after its 34-7 win over division rival Florida.
UGA’s win over UF plus Kentucky’s loss to Mississippi State clinched the SEC East for the Bulldogs. UK fell out of the Super 16 with the loss. Auburn entered the poll for the first time this season after defeating Ole Miss, keeping the SEC at a conference-leading 5 teams in the poll.
Ole Miss dropped from No. 9 to No. 15 after losing to AU. Texas A&M, meanwhile, moved up from No. 15 to No. 15 while on a bye.
The SEC leads all conferences with 5 teams, followed by the Big Ten and the Big 12 with 3 each. The American Conference, ACC, Conference USA, Pac-12 and Independents have one team each.
