5-star 2022 RB, SEC target, to announce commitment next week

Wednesday’s National Signing Day will effectively wrap up the 2021 recruiting cycle for most teams (though there will be at least one major signing occurring later). On Friday, one of the top prospects in the class of 2022 will be announcing his verbal commitment.

5-star California running back Raleek Brown set plans for a Feb. 5 commitment announcement. The Mater Dei standout is rated the No. 25 overall recruit in the class on the 247Sports Composite. Brown has collected 35 scholarship offers during his recruitment. Of those offers, three SEC programs were included in the final seven. Alabama, Georgia and LSU are featured in the group along with Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon and USC.

Oklahoma received six “Crystal Ball” predictions for Brown in February of 2020. On Friday, we’ll find out if one of the six other schools has managed to overcome the Sooners in the last 12 months.
