The 2020 NBA Draft is still in flux, as it remains to be seen when the actual event will be held as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Still, at some point, players will be drafted and head off to their NBA teams. Several first-round picks could end up coming from the SEC.
On Wednesday, Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley updated his Round 1 projections, and as you can see below, he has 6 SEC stars going in the first round:
- No. 1 — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia — Golden State Warriors
- No. 10 — Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn — Phoenix Suns
- No. 13 — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt — New Orleans Pelicans
- No. 15 — Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama — Orlando Magic
- No. 16 — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky — Minnesota Timberwolves
- No. 21 — Robert Woodard II, G, Mississippi State — Denver Nuggets
Things can still change once we can resume activities, but for now, this is a good look at where things stand for these SEC standouts.
