The 2019 NBA Draft will be held in Brooklyn on June 20, meaning NBA prospects have less than two months to show they should be first-round picks.

A number of SEC players will be in the first-round mix this year, and in CBS Sports analyst Kyle Boone’s latest mock draft, six players from the conference are projected to go in Round 1.

As you can see below, two Tennessee Vols and three Kentucky Wildcats are projected to hear their names called after Vanderbilt PG Darius Garland gets things started:

  • No. 6 — Darius Garland, PG, Vanderbilt — Washington Wizards
  • No. 12 — PJ Washington, F, Kentucky — Charlotte Hornets
  • No. 13 — Grant Williams, F, Tennessee — Miami Heat
  • No. 17 — Keldon Johnson, G/F, Kentucky — Brooklyn Nets
  • No. 24 — Admiral Schofield, G/F, Tennessee — Portland Trail Blazers
  • No. 28 — Tyler Herro, G, Kentucky — Golden State Warriors

The NBA Combine will take place next month in Chicago, so we’ll see if other SEC guys can work their way into the Round 1 projections then.
