The NCAA Tournament won’t begin until March, but we have enough of a sample size during nonconference play to start projecting the tourney teams.

On Monday, ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi updated his projections for the field of 68 teams, and 6 SEC squads were included.

As you can see below, Kentucky and Auburn lead the way, as No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, respectively:

  • Kentucky — No. 2 seed (South)
  • Auburn — No. 3 seed (East)
  • Tennessee — No. 6 seed (West)
  • Florida — No. 7 seed (Midwest)
  • Arkansas — No. 10 seed (West)
  • LSU — No. 10 seed (East)

Obviously, there’s still a lot of time for these projections to change, and for teams like Mississippi State and Ole Miss to work their way into the mix.
