Obviously, with the 2019 NCAA Tournament title game having just tipped off, it’s a little early to be looking at the 2020 March Madness bracket.

Still, ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi did it anyway, just for fun. And, included among his field of 68 for next year’s tourney are six SEC squads.

As you can see below, both Auburn and Kentucky are projected to be No. 2 seeds, with three squads earning No. 8 seeds:

  • Auburn — No. 2 seed (West)
  • Kentucky — No. 2 seed (South)
  • Tennessee — No. 6 seed (East)
  • Mississippi State — No. 8 seed (East)
  • Ole Miss — No. 8 seed (South)
  • Florida — No. 8 seed (West)
  • Alabama — First Four Out
  • LSU — Next Four Out

Alabama and LSU just missed out on the field, and both of those results would be disappointing if they do indeed come to pass.

Of course, a lot will change between now and then, but it’s still fun to look at what could potentially happen next year.
