A busy weekend in the SEC saw some close games and tight finishes around the conference.
Among the notable finishes, Texas A&M knocked off Florida for a big-time upset under head coach Jimbo Fisher. Arkansas also wound up one controversial decision away from back-to-back upsets under head coach Sam Pittman. In the end, Auburn kicked a game-winning field goal to hang on for the win.
For the SEC’s frontrunners, Alabama and Georgia started off a bit sluggish against Ole Miss and Tennessee, but both the Tide and the Bulldogs rallied for solid wins.
Coming out of the weekend, six SEC teams found themselves ranked on ESPN’s latest Power Rankings. Alabama and Georgia continue to lead the way for the conference at No. 2 and No. 3 with Clemson occupying the No.1 spot overall.

- No. 2 – Alabama
- No. 3 – Georgia
- No. 13 – Texas A&M
- No. 14 – Florida
