8 SEC players included on 247Sports’ list of 18 most underappreciated players in college football

Every year, there are so many big-name stars in the SEC that other talented players simply get lost in the shuffle.
However, this is the fall that some underappreciated SEC athletes may finally get their due. On Wednesday, 247Sports named 18 of the most overlooked players in the country, and eight SEC players made the cut.
Though Alabama QB Jalen Hurts is one of the bigger names in the conference, the other guys could definitely make names for themselves this year:
- Jalen Hurts, QB, Alabama
- D.J. Wonnum, DL, South Carolina
- Joshua Hammond, WR, Florida
- Brandon Johnson, WR, Tennessee
- Kary Vincent, DB, LSU
- Kingsley Keke, DL, Texas A&M
- J.R. Reed, DB, Georgia
- Dontavius Russell, DL, Auburn
These players all have the talent to become household names, and it’ll be fun to watch them in action this fall.
