‘A difference-maker’: Mark Stoops discusses potential of Wan’Dale Robinson within Kentucky offense

Wan’Dale Robinson had a pleasant debut for the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.
Playing less than 30 miles from his hometown of Frankfort, the Nebraska transfer made 5 catches for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Wildcats rolled past UL Monroe 45-10 at Kroger Field in Lexington. It was exactly what head coach Mark Stoops was hoping he’d get from the junior.
With Kentucky kicking off its conference schedule against SEC East foe Missouri at home on Saturday, the challenge for Robinson is to build on that performance and help spark an offense that ranked at the bottom of the conference in passing yards and 4th-worst in points scored last year.
“Wan’Dale’s a difference-maker,” Stoops said on his weekly call-in radio show on Monday, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader’s Josh Moore. “He’s improving each day as a wide receiver. He’s not just a play-maker. He’s skilled and getting better every day.”
The Wildcats and Tigers kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, with the game to be shown on the SEC Network.
