Aaron Anderson beats Florida’s secondary, scores game-tying TD vs. Gators

Aaron Anderson put LSU on the scoreboard on Saturday after the Florida Gators struck first with star quarterback DJ Lagway back in the fold.
The wide receiver allowed the Tigers to deliver the perfect response with just under 8 minutes left in the half, as Nussmeier tossed a dime for 6 on a critical 3rd & 9 play. That made it 7-7, tied game at least for the time being.
Here’s a look at the play, which was especially solid from Nussmeier, who still managed to perform under pressure and hit his target while he himself was being hit by a Florida defender:

This marked the second scoring play of the game after Lagway found wide receiver Elijhah Badger for a long touchdown reception on a 1st & 10 play roughly halfway through the first quarter. Lagway returns at full capacity after being forced to miss the game against Texas with a hamstring injury.
Head coach Billy Napier had made it known Lagway technically could have taken the field against the Longhorns, but he chose to hold him out until he was at full capacity. And it’s clear that Lagway at full form has caused the struggling Tigers some issues.
LSU is looking for a bounce-back performance after struggling last weekend in a loss to Alabama.
