Michiganโs search for a football coach continues in the wake of the stunning firing of former coach Sherrone Moore, with a new name entering the mix as the potential new leader of the Wolverines.
On3Sports reported Tuesday that Louisvilleโs Jeff Brohm has emerged as a candidate in Ann Arbor. Brohm is in his third season at Louisville and has the 8-4 Cardinals set Tuesday for the Boca Raton Bowl against 8-4 Toledo (2 pm ET, ESPN).
Brohm sports a 27-12 overall record at Louisville and a 16-8 mark in ACC play since taking over for Scott Satterfield prior to the 2023 season. He is 93-56 overall as a head coach at Louisville, Purdue (2017-22) and Western Kentucky (2014-16). Brohmโs Hilltoppers won the 2015 and 2016 Conference USA crowns, his final team at Purdue in 2022 earned a spot in the Big Ten title game, and his first team at Louisville in 2023 earned an ACC title game spot.
Michigan is being led by interim coach Biff Poggi following Mooreโs firing after revelations of an extramarital affair with a Wolverines. No. 18 Michigan (9-3) is set to take on No. 13 Texas (9-3) in the Citrus Bowl on New Yearโs Eve (3 pm ET, ESPN).
