ACC issues statement reaffirming plan to move forward toward 2020 football season

With the Big Ten and Pac-12 postponing fall sports until 2021 at the earliest, only 3 Power 5 conferences are still moving toward a fall football season.
The ACC, Big 12 and SEC are those 3 conferences, and as of now, the SEC and ACC seem committed to at least move forward with practices.
As you can see below, the ACC released a statement on Twitter on Tuesday evening saying it would proceed safely as long as possible:

“We understand the need to stay flexible and be prepared to adjust as medical information and the landscape evolves,” the statement ends.
That’s likely a sentiment all 3 remaining Power 5 conferences will share as we progress through August.
