Chase Brice appears to be on the move again.
The Duke quarterback, formerly the backup to Trevor Lawrence at Clemson, has reportedly entered the transfer portal, according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
Brice completed 82 of his 136 passes at Clemson, throwing for 9 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He also ran 30 times for 187 yards while recording 1 touchdown on the ground.
He would then announce his transfer to Duke in February, where he was named the starting quarterback by David Cutcliffe prior to the Blue Devils’ season opener against Notre Dame. This season, he threw for 2,170 yards and 10 touchdowns, but threw 15 interceptions and was sacked 33 times.
The Loganville, Ga. native was rated a 3-star recruit out of Grayson High School, the No. 17 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2017 according to 247Sports.com.
Duke struggled to a 2-9 record in 2020, with a 38-24 triumph at Syracuse and a 53-19 victory over Charlotte in Durham standing as its sole wins of the season.
