We’ve got some unfortunate news to share from College Station as the Aggies have already lost a player for the season due to injury.

During his first press conference since training camp began at Texas A&M, Jimbo Fisher announced redshirt freshman defensive lineman Adarious Jones will miss the entire 2020 season due to a knee injury.

While that news may be bad, Fisher did note that he believes the Aggies depth on the defensive line is as good as it has ever been since his arrival in College Station.

In his first season of action, Jones appeared in three games for Texas A&M last fall including the Texas State game and the Clemson game. Jones made one tackle before redshirting the rest of the season.

A native of Virginia Beach, Va., Jones was rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 35 defensive tackle prospect in the country in the 2019 recruiting cycle. He played his high school football at Bishop Sullivan Catholic.
