Aerial shot shows shockingly low attendance for UCLA, Nico Iamaleava in Week 3

It takes something special to be a loyal UCLA football fan.
For starters, the Bruins haven’t been decent since the early 2010s, which is partially why the Rose Bowl often fails to get to even half capacity. But in Week 3 as the UCLA Bruins were set to kick off their eventual loss to New Mexico, the stadium was hardly even 25% full.
I mean, can you blame them? The Bruins are 0-3 to start the season, and Nico Iamaleava has been a disappointment since transferring in from Tennessee – even while being surrounded by a simply dismal roster on defense and the offensive line.
Check out the scenes ahead of yesterday’s matchup with the Lobos.
We need to address the possibility that the Bruins don’t win a single game this season. Has anyone seen their remaining schedule? If UCLA is struggling to keep things close with New Mexico, how are they going to fare across the final 9 games of the season, all against Big Ten competition?
Their next matchup seems like a good opportunity to score a win, though they’ll have to go on the road to do it. Northwestern is on the docket for Week 5 following a bye week for the Bruins, so they’ll have some time to prepare for the 1-1 Wildcats.
For now, though, there’s a lot of soul-searching to be done in Los Angeles.
