Georgia State is extending a special offer to Hurricane Dorian evacuees ahead of the Panthers’ game this week against Furman.

Dorian has moved up the East Coast and is currently moving along the South Carolina coast, extending into the Columbia area. The Panthers’ home opener will kick off at 7 p.m. inside Georgia State Stadium, which is the location of the old Turner Field in Atlanta. The Panthers are trying to build on momentum developed from their upset win at Tennessee last week.

Complimentary tickets are available to residents of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina who have been displaced because of mandatory evacuations in anticipation of Dorian, the school announced. Residents who show a valid driver’s license from the specific coastal zip codes that are under a mandatory evacuation will also be eligible to take advantage of this offer.

Up to 4 complimentary tickets can be claimed at the Georgia State Stadium Office windows — while supplies last through kickoff on Saturday, September 7. Children 10 and under are free.

Those with questions can call 404-413-4020 during normal business hours.

The Atlanta Braves are offering a similar ticket program for their game against the Washington Nationals on Thursday. The Braves will also donate all proceeds from the 50/50 raffle to benefit the Red Cross efforts for hurricane recovery.
