Leonard Fournette’s future in Jacksonville is currently very much unknown.

The team has reportedly been trying to trade him, including on the second day of the 2020 NFL Draft. However, those attempts weren’t fruitful. The former LSU star has a guaranteed salary of $4.1 million this season and a 5th-year option of $8.48 million for 2021.

With all the recent trade speculation, Fournette took to social media vowing to bust his tail, adding that he’ll be physically ready for 2020.

“I don’t know what the future holds but I promise that every day I’m gonna bust my ass. I know it’s a business and I’ll be ready at my best for the next season,” Fournette wrote.

If the Jaguars can’t find a suitor for Fournette, they’re stuck with his $4.1 million salary regardless of whether they cut him loose or not. If a trade doesn’t happen, it likely won’t be a great feeling knowing the team he plays for didn’t want him.

In 3-career seasons for the Jaguars, Fournette has rushed for 2,631 yards and 17 touchdowns on 666 rushing attempts. Jacksonville selected Fournette with the 4th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
