Texas A&M linebacker A.J. Hilliard’s career has ended prematurely because of injuries.
The Houston Chronicle’s Brent Zwerneman reported the news on Monday regarding the senior, who was 6th on the team with 58 tackles despite playing in nine games this past season.
Hilliard is no longer on the Aggies’ official roster.

Before battling injuries in 2015, Hilliard suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Texas A&M’s season opener against South Carolina in 2014.
Those were the only two seasons of action in College Station for Hilliard, who transferred in after playing his freshman season at TCU. He then redshirted with Texas A&M in 2013.
