Texas A&M will be one of the teams on hand on Monday at SEC Media Days, and Aggies star Ainias Smith is expected to honor the late assistant coach Terry Price.
The wide receiver plans to give customized lapel pins to honor Terry Price, the beloved defensive ends coach who died last month, Carter Karels of GigEm247 reported.
The lapel pins, which feature Price’s initials and nickname, are expected to make their debut Monday when A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher and three of his players – defensive end Fadil Diggs, defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson and Smith – appear at the annual SEC Media Days in Nashville, Tennessee.

Samyra Smith, Ainias’ mother, told GigEm247 about the tribute to Price. Every coach and player will receive one of the lapel pins before the season, and the players and coaches will wear them when walking into the stadium before every game.
The 2023 campaign will be Smith’s 5th in College Station after he passed on the NFL Draft earlier this year.
Smith played in only 4 games last season before he suffered a season-ending injury. He caught 15 passes for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns across those 4 contests.
For his career, Smith has 127 catches for 1,612 yards and 17 touchdowns for the Aggies. He recorded back-to-back 500+ yard seasons in 2020 and 2021, and became a consistent weapon in Texas A&M’s offense.
