Alabama added a big-time prospect to its 2025 recruiting class on Saturday afternoon.
The Crimson Tide landed a commitment from 4-star cornerback Chuck McDonald, who picked Alabama over offers from programs such as USC, Georgia and Oregon, amongst others.
McDonald shared the news of his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

McDonald is an elite prospect in the class of 2025. He’s the No. 76 overall player and the No. 9 cornerback in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 7 player from the state of California.
He hails from Santa Ana, California where he attends one of the best prep football programs in the country at Mater Dei High School. McDonald is listed at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds.
McDonald was on campus in Tuscaloosa last weekend prior to making this commitment. He’s also recently received offers from LSU and Texas.
Alabama is up to 12 commitments in the class of 2025. Eleven of those 12 prospects are considered blue-chip recruits at this stage in the process. Overall, Alabama’s class sits at No. 4 in the national rankings, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
