Alabama got a late addition to its 2016 class in the form of a preferred walk-on.

Preston Knight, a punter from Prattville High School, announced on Twitter last week that he’s committed to the Crimson Tide, and his pledge was confirmed by AL.com on Monday. He joins Ole Miss transfer kicker Andy Pappanastos as the second kicker in roughly the last week to join Alabama.

In 2015, the 6-foot-5, 195-pound Knight averaged 41 yards per punt in his 41 punts at Prattville with a long of 60 yards, according to oneononekickingcamps.com.

Knight joins junior JK Scott and sophomore Brannon Satterfield as the only other punters on Alabama’s roster. Scott was 5th in the SEC last season with an average of 44.2 yards per punt.
