Collin Sexton is a legend in Tuscaloosa.
With Alabama’s season on the line in the second round of the SEC Tournament, the 5-star freshman came up with a coast-to-coast game-winner at the buzzer to stun Texas A&M:

That was after Texas A&M guard T.J. Starks hit what looked like a dagger 3-pointer to win it with 5 seconds left for Texas A&M. Instead, it was Sexton and the Tide who delivered the real dagger in St. Louis.
Prior to Thursday’s game, ESPN’s BPI said that Alabama had a 99.7 percent chance to make the NCAA Tournament with a win over Texas A&M in the second round of the SEC Tournament. With a loss, however, that percentage went down to 0.5 percent.
In the most do-or-die game possible for Alabama’s postseason chances, Sexton put Alabama on his back. The freshman finished with 25 points, and more importantly, he might’ve punched the Tide’s ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
Alabama’s 5-game losing streak is over, and perhaps a storybook run in March is just beginning.
Now, Alabama will take on top seed Auburn in a grudge match on 1 p.m. Friday in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals.
