Alabama and Georgia are the only DI programs to appear in every major 2025-26 postseason event

Alabama and Georgia’s athletic programs have been on another level this season.
According to The Next Round, the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs were the only 2 programs in Division I to see their teams reach the College Football Playoff and respective postseason tournaments in basketball (men’s and women’s), softball and baseball. Texas Tech was close, only missing out on this year’s baseball tournament.
Alabama could take this impressive feat even further with a few wins at the Tuscaloosa Regional this weekend.
If the Crimson Tide baseball team can advance to the Super Regionals, they’ll become the only Division I team to advance in each postseason tournament listed above. Alabama beat Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff, advanced to the Sweet 16 (Men’s) and Round of 32 (Women’s) in basketball, and will play in the Women’s College World Series in softball this coming weekend.

As for Georgia, only the Bulldogs softball team has been able to advance in postseason play so far through 2025-26 — but don’t expect that to hold true for much longer. The Bulldogs baseball team is one of the best in the country and will host the Athens Regional this upcoming weekend. Georgia is looking to get back to the College World Series for the first time since 2008.
Here’s a look at the latest odds to reach the CWS, per Kalshi:
