Last year, Nate Oats’ squad was ranked No. 16 when it took down No. 3 Gonzaga 91-82 in the “Battle in Seattle.” It was part of a 9-1 start to the 2021-22 season for UA. The Tide finished the 2021-22 season 19-14 overall on a 4-game losing streak that included postseason losses to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament and Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament.
Alabama is 61-36 overall in 3 seasons under Oats, reaching the Sweet 16 in 2021. Gonzaga is coming off of a Sweet 16 appearance in 2022 after making the Final Four in 2021.
