Alabama exposes Auburn as pretender, Tide dominate 2nd half to cruise to SEC Tournament Semifinals

You wouldn’t know it by looking at the final score but Alabama was down by 10 at halftime of its quarterfinal game against Auburn. Obviously, that lead wasn’t even close to being enough for the Tigers on Friday.
Following a second-half scoring advantage of 50 to 22, the Crimson Tide have cruised into the semifinals of the SEC Tournament with 81-63 win over Auburn, thanks in large part to the heroic performance of star freshman Collin Sexton. The freshman guard scored 26 points against the Tigers and helped lead his team to an incredibly 28-3 run at one point in the second half that proved to be the defining moment of the game.
Sexton’s performance was so great, he single-handly outscored Auburn in the second half of the game. Alabama never trailed in the game after taking the lead with 16 minutes to go in the contest.
Alabama’s next game in the tournament will be played Saturday at 1 p.m. ET / Noon CT against the winner of the Kentucky-Georgia contest.
