Alabama beats out Clemson to land commitment from 4-star S DeMarcco Hellams out of Maryland

The Alabama Crimson Tide have a lot to be happy about these days.
Coming off a national championship, they are once again on a roll in the recruiting rankings, and on Monday, they landed another elite player.
As you can see below, 4-star 2019 S DeMarcco Hellams announced he was committing to the Crimson Tide on Twitter:

According to the 247Sports composite, Hellams is the No. 4 safety in the class of 2019 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Maryland.
Alabama now has 15 commits in its 2019 class, which currently ranks No. 1 in the SEC and No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports.
