Alabama is the landing spot for Tampa (Fla.) Catholic athlete Jameer Grimsley.

The 6-foot-3 two-way standout revealed his decision on Saturday during an Instagram Live. Grimsley had a Final 3 that included Florida and Michigan, but the Crimson Tide proved tough to beat at the end of the day. He took an official visit to Tuscaloosa on June 16 and then went to Ann Arbor, Michigan, a week later.

Nick Saban gets his man, and it’s expected that Grimsley will begin his career on the defensive side of the ball at corner.

Grimsley is a 4-star recruit in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s ranked as the No. 19 corner in the class and the No. 34 prospect from the state of Florida. Overall, he’s the No. 215 prospect in the class.

He becomes the 10th known commit to join the Tide’s 2024 class. It’s a group that features 5-star pledges from Julian Sayin, Jaylen Mbakwe, and Perry Thompson.
