Alabama freshman PG Collin Sexton has been one of the most dynamic players in the SEC this year, averaging 18.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

However, the past couple of weeks, Sexton has been dealing with an abdominal injury, one that caused him to miss a game last month.

On Monday, coach Avery Johnson said Sexton’s injury isn’t going away and that it’s something he’ll have to play through the rest of the year:

Sexton wasn’t slowed by it much against Florida, scoring 17 points, grabbing eight boards and dishing out six assists.

However, he’ll have to manage the pain for the rest of the season, according to Johnson. It’s safe to say Alabama fans will be cringing every time their star freshman takes a hard foul for the remainder of the year.
