Alabama makes top 5 for 5-star OL out of Virginia, top-25 overall recruit

After picking up 35 scholarship offers, Liberty Christian Academy standout Zach Rice has settled on five schools where he will be taking official visits.
Rice tweeted a top five of Alabama, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Virginia on Sunday. From Lynchburg, Virginia, Rice is listed at 6-6, 282 pounds and rated 5-stars, the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 21 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. Rice says he is up to 295 pounds on his Twitter account.
Alabama was not part of a November top eight that included the other four schools mentioned Sunday along with Florida, LSU, Miami and Oklahoma.
