Alabama is losing defensive analyst Dave Huxtable to the NFL, according to a report.

That’s per FootballScoop’s John Brice, who reports that Huxtable is leaving Tuscaloosa to take a role with the Atlanta Falcons.

He’s spent the past 2 seasons with the Crimson Tide as a defensive analyst. Huxtable also has high-level defensive coordinator experience from his time at programs like North Carolina, Georgia Tech and NC State.

Alabama is expected to replace Huxtable as an analyst. According to another report, the Tide have promoted Max Bullough from graduate assistant into an analyst role. Bullough played linebacker at Michigan State.

Huxtable departs with decades of experience in the college game. He’s worked at numerous colleges since beginning his career as a graduate assistant at Iowa State back in 1982. This will be his 1st job in the NFL.

Alabama finished the 2022 season with an 11-2 record.
