College football fans everywhere love when an offensive lineman gets his paws on the football. When Alabama, leading 17-14 late in the second quarter against Georgia, broke the huddle with offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor split out at wide receiver, people didn’t think he’d actually touch the pigskin.

Moments later, they were on their feet rooting for him to find the end zone.

On 1st-and-10 from the Bulldog 13-yard line, Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb drew up a screen for his left tackle. The big man made the catch and churned his way up field. He had his eyes and heart set on the goal line, but stepped out of bounds at the Georgia 2-yard line.

Proctor’s 11-yard gain provided Alabama with a fresh set of downs. His quarterback, Ty Simpson, found paydirt with a 2-yard scamper on the very next snap to give the Crimson Tide a 24-14 halftime advantage.

Alabama’s offense dominated Georgia’s defense in the first half on Saturday. The Crimson Tide posted back-to-back 14-play touchdown drives to open the game and totaled 267 yards in the first two quarters.

Alabama ultimately won this game 24-21.
