Alabama holds a 34-23 halftime lead over Texas A&M in the 1st half of the SEC Tournament championship game.

The Crimson Tide got off to a great start in this contest. They jumped out to an 18-10 lead with just over 6 minutes gone in the 1st half. Over the remainder of the period, Alabama was able to stretch its lead as big as 16 points.

Jahvon Quinerly was the standout performer for the Crimson Tide in the 1st half. He scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting from long range.

Quinerly was also outstanding in Alabama’s last SEC Tournament title game appearance, which came in 2021. The Crimson Tide defeated LSU in that contest and Quinerly was named MVP of the game.

Alabama is still in the hunt for the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Its biggest competition for that honor, Kansas, lost to Texas in the Big 12 title game on Saturday.

Alabama has never been a No. 1 seed in program history.

The full NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET.
