Alabama landed a new recruit in the class of 2024 on Friday evening.
The Crimson Tide picked up a commitment from Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. He chose Alabama over programs such as Missouri and Arkansas, amongst others.

Kirkpatrick is the son of former Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick, who won 2 BCS National Championships with the Crimson Tide as a player.
He recorded 91 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 16 pass deflections during his time with Alabama. Kirkpatrick was also 2-time all-SEC during his career at Alabama.
The younger Kirkpatrick is an intriguing prospect in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 117 cornerback in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 45 player from the state of Alabama.
He attends Gadsden City High School in Gadsden, Alabama. He’s listed at 6-foot, 192 pounds.
Alabama is now up to 18 commits in the class of 2024. The group sits at No. 4 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
