Alabama facing historic deficit vs. Oklahoma with CFP hopes on the line

Alabama entered the game tonight as a 13.5-point favorite against an Oklahoma team that had won only 1 SEC game entering Saturday night. The Crimson Tide were in control of their own destiny to make the College Football Playoffand had a great chance to make the SEC Championship.

However, it has been a nightmare in Norman for the Crimson Tide, as they are trailing 24-3 midway through the fourth quarter. The offense has struggled all night against Oklahoma, as Milroe has thrown 2 interceptions in the 2nd half. This is a deficit that the Crimson Tide haven’t seen for a long time.

This was supposed to be a relatively easy game for Alabama, but it has been the complete opposite. The Crimson Tide have not trailed by at least 21 points in a game to an unranked team since 2003.

Being down by that number isn’t something the team has experienced often against ranked teams either.

Alabama had appeared to turn the corner the past couple of weeks, as the team looked like it was back on track to make the CFP. However, the Crimson Tide are going to be eliminated from the conversation unless they complete 1 of the best comebacks in school history.
