Alabama defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe has let fans know he underwent surgery and it was successful.
Eboigbe provided a quick update on social media, tweeting “Surgery went well….Thank God” on Friday afternoon.
Eboigbe did not offer details on the procedure. In August, Eboigbe suffered a foot injury that coach Nick Saban described as “not long-term.”
Eboigbe played in 10 games this past season, including starts against Southern Miss and Ole Miss. The freshman logged 10 tackles, including 3 for loss, 1.5 sacks and a quarterback hurry.
As a recruit, the Forest Park (Georgia) product was rated the No. 5 strong-side defensive end and No. 62 overall prospect on the 247Sports Composite, resulting in 28 scholarship offers.
