A freshman wide receiver is reportedly the latest Alabama player to look at continuing his college football career elsewhere. Aaron Anderson has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to reports.

Anderson was considered a top prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.

Out of Edna Karr High School is New Orleans, Anderson was rated the No. 1 recruit in the state of Louisiana and No. 35 prospect overall in the 2022 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite. He originally committed to LSU on Dec. 19, 2020. During the 2021 season, however, Anderson decommitted from the Tigers. On Oct. 29, 2021, he pledged to Nick Saban’s program.

Anderson’s Alabama bio notes that Anderson dealt with an injury and only appeared in the Austin Peay game. He did not record any statistics.

We’ll see what’s next for Anderson.
